Fireside Follies is a monthly reading series curated by fiction-writer Eric Nelson and poet Michael Lala that showcases works from various aspects of literature, including fiction, memoir, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Established and award-winning authors, poets, and visual artists contribute alongside up-and-coming talent.

Both Lala and Nelson have a history of involvement and events planning in the arts community in Bushwick. They have organized, hosted, and performed their own work in New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, and elsewhere.  All readings are FREE and open to the public.
